In OE, under TOOLS, OPTIONS : SECURITY should be set at the first one. APPLY!

If you are using IE6, make sure it has the same setting.

If you are using IE7, there are known problems with this
browser. Go back to IE6.

To my knowledge, you can only move/copy folders within OE.
If you want to move it to My Documents, you must open the folder,
highlight each message, using the SAVE AS feature in the drop
down menu of FILE and move them individually.

Sorry can't be done.. Windows Mail is built in and since OE is an older version of Windows Mail it will over ride any install.

The only difference between Windows Mail and OE is the addition of a junk email folder, a better searching system, and the ability to hold larger amounts of data without crashing. The name change is the only obvious difference. Why would you want to downgrade to a less stable version of the same program.

about Road Runner but I see two choices.. One is if Road Runner
comes with any software to uninstall and reinstall.. Two would
be to get a gmail address and skip the rr address. Bonus is not
having to worry about ever changing it again..

The basic service is great, the email is lousy. I put AOL free
(currently 9.0 optimized) on my 4 computers, ME, 2000 Pro, XP
Home, Vista Home Premium. The AOL program is super good, does
let me get downloads, attachments unlike GMail, nor does it give
the problems MSN, Yahoo seem to be plagued with. If the person
having problems with RoadRunner, help him with a disk to install

What version of Windows are you using? XP or Vista or?
Is your version of OE 6.00.29002180?
You get this info from the HELP feature in OE.
Are you using OE as a warehouse for all you emails instead of
saving them in My Documents in a designated folder?
Make sure to run all your software antivirus/antiadware
programs, (spybot, avast, superantispyware (see Webby Tool Box:
all free) including Defrag, even if you are told you do not need
it. Have you performed regular maintenance in OE.
In Options, chose Maintenance Select Clean Up Now, located about
had way down on that page.
Restart you computer.

Let me know.

ps: do you save your pictures to another folder then attach them
into new email or are you forwarding them as you receive them?

Just a hiccup in your Security Section .
Go to Tools, Options: SECURITY.

The first one should be marked.
and check the Warn me then REMOVE the check mark on the next one.
APPLY!
